Kingi is around 4 & has had a sheltered life, but his lack of life experience doesn't stop him greeting you with the biggest, widest smile a dog could ever give.
He has fast become a volunteer favourite, he would love nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch with them & have cuddles all day. He loves the people he knows & trusts but finds coming across strangers out & about or meeting new peole in the home a bit too much & can be reactive, so needs an owner that can get him out & about in a positive way with great experiences.
We have just found out that Kingi is unwell & will need on-going medical needs & could have a shortened life. His joints are fusing & some are calcified. This means Kingi will be in some pain, which is being managed with medication, but his pain level will increase as his body degenerates.
He is good with dogs when introduced in a positive, calm way. He does not like dogs new to him running up to him, he will react. He will never be a dog that can go to the beach or dog park, so needs an owner that understands his needs & can help him create confidence in a calm, safe environment. He does need a cat & small animal free home.
He would be suited to live with a laid back dog & would prefer a quiet home. He can feel overwhelmed in a busy home where lots of people come & go. Even though he is great with kids, he would prefer an adult only home to chill out.
All our dogs are destined to be family dogs that sleep indoors with the rest of the family.
Kingi is desexed, vaccinated, chipped & registered.
